Leaked OnePlus 8 phone cases

With the OnePlus 8 series launch date just around the corner, leaks and rumors have been coming in left and right. The latest of which gives us a bit of an idea of what we can expect from OnePlus’ official line of phone cases.

Over on Patreon, reliable leaker Evan Blass shared a picture of six different OnePlus 8 case variants and four different textures (pictured above). The standard OnePlus 8 looks like it could have five different options, while the Pro variant could only have three. There’s no word on potential phone cases for the upcoming OnePlus Z yet.

OnePlus’ famous sandstone texture makes an appearance here, but this time around it will come in three different colors: black, cyan, and purple. Sandstone has been a staple of OnePlus devices and phone cases since the OnePlus One, but we have never seen the texture in another color other than a dark gray/black.

We also see a few other case textures we’ve come to expect from OnePlus over the years. This includes Karbon and Nylon, as well as a transparent version for customers who want to show off the alleged Glacial Green and Interstellar Glow colorways if they actually come to market.

Unfortunately, if rumors of an Ultramarine Blue OnePlus 8 Pro colorway are true, customers may not have a phone case to show off the handset. As is the case for the Sandstone Purple and Nylon cases, the Clear one looks like it will be a OnePlus 8 exclusive, while Sandstone Black could only be available on the Pro model.

No matter what phone cases OnePlus ends up selling to customers, we believe they will all be top-quality. If you have ever had a OnePlus device in the past, then you’ll know the company’s first-party accessories are some of the best you can get. We expect this to be the same for the OnePlus 8.
