If this is the OnePlus 10R, I quite like the dual texture rear panel

OnePlus 10R alleged leak

TL;DR
  • Amazon may have accidentally leaked an image of the upcoming OnePlus 10R.
  • OnePlus itself may have officially shown off the phone in a tweet.
  • It may feature a unique dual texture back panel.

The OnePlus 10R has all but launched at this point. Everything from the specs of the phone and its design has leaked. However, thanks to a possible Amazon slip-up, we may now have a better idea of how the phone might look in real life.

Spotted by a Twitter user, Amazon’s India Instagram account may have posted an image of the OnePlus 10R ahead of schedule. You can see the phone in the alleged screenshot below.

While the 10R is meant to be an exact copy of the realme GT Neo 3, its rear panel appears to have a different dual texture finish. We’re not sure what materials OnePlus may be using, but it looks to be sandstone on one side and metal on the other. If that is indeed the case, I quite dig it. The sandstone is definitely a pleasant throwback to the OnePlus One, something the company may also be exploring on another upcoming phone. Add a metal frame to that, and the 10R could end up looking better than the device from its stablemate.

That said, it could also just be vertical stripes on one side and a smooth metallic finish on the other. The image isn’t super clear to be able to tell for sure.

OnePlus 10R AKA Ace.

In the meantime, another leak sourced by tipster Abhishek Yadav (see above) supposedly shows off the OnePlus Ace, rumored to be a maxed-out version of the OnePlus 10R. That leak also shows the same dual-tone design, however, in a glossier finish. Unfortunately, we can’t vouch for the veracity of the leak.

What’s interesting is that OnePlus itself may have disclosed the design of the 10R in a tweet that’s a few days old now. As you can see below, the company is actually promoting the new Bullets Wireless Z2 earbuds below, but the phone in the model’s hand appears to be the 10R as per all the renders and other images we’ve seen floating around so far.
