The wait is over: Samsung rolls out stable One UI 9 for Galaxy S26 series

Samsung has been moving exceptionally fast with its One UI 9 rollout. The company started the One UI 9 beta program with the Galaxy S26 series back in May, and after seven betas, it’s finally rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for Galaxy S26 phones.

According to a post on X by tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung is rolling out the One UI 9 update based on Android 17 for Galaxy S26 devices in Korea. The update comes with build numbers S948NKSU4BZI6, S948NOKR4BZI6, and S948NKSU4BZHO for different Galaxy S26 series models. It’s about 650MB and includes the September security patch.

For Galaxy S26 series flagship users who may have felt left behind when the Galaxy S26 FE launched with One UI 9 out of the box, and the Galaxy A18 also came with One UI 9 pre-installed, today’s news should bring some much-needed relief. Now that Samsung has started rolling out One UI 9 to its flagship phones in Korea, it’s only a matter of time before the update reaches other countries.

One UI 9 brings several new features to the Galaxy S26 series, including Galaxy AI features previously available only on the latest Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra. These include My FanCam, Call Brief, custom cards in Now Brief, and more. Samsung has also added several other new features in One UI 9 that could prove to be extremely useful.

We don’t yet have confirmation on an expected release schedule for the update outside of Korea, but it could happen sooner rather than later. You can check for updates on your Galaxy S26 series phone by heading to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. One UI 9 will show up there once Samsung rolls it out in your region.
