New Nothing earbuds spotted in listing and they look a little nutty
- Nothing’s new TWS earbuds were spotted in the NRRA certification database.
- The listing reveals a peanut-shaped design that ditches the transparent design philosophy.
- The earbuds are expected to support Bluetooth 5.2.
A few months ago, it was revealed that Nothing could be launching a sub-brand that goes by the name “Particles by XO.” Now a certification listing has revealed the design of the first product that may release under this sub-brand — true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds.
As discovered by MySmartPrice, a certification listing that appeared in Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) certification database has revealed new earbuds made by Carl Pei’s Nothing. Although the listing doesn’t tell us much about the device, it does give us a few details.
The earbuds in question have the model number B154 and they feature a peanut-like design. Not only is this different from the other earbuds Nothing has launched, but it’s also different from anything in the market. In another departure, it seems these earbuds won’t follow the transparent design philosophy of Nothing’s other earbuds either.
These images mirror the renders that leaked a few months ago thanks to tipster Kuba Wojciechowski. It was due to this leak that we also learned about the sub-brand Particles by XO.
Outside of this listing, 91Mobiles found the earbuds listed under Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) last week. As a result, we know that the earbuds will use Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. In addition, it may come preloaded with firmware version 1.0.1.20 and could feature LHDC and ANC support.
