Nixon Mission Android Wear watch on sale at Amazon for $400
One of the latest Android Wear smartwatches, the Nixon Mission, is now available to a wider audience. The $400 watch is available to purchase at Amazon, after its previous launch on Nixon’s webstore.
The circular watch is still one of the first Android Wear devices to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC, which was created specifically for the smartwatch market. The Nixon Mission has been designed for the company’s main audience of surfers, skiers and snowboarders. It has a 10 ATM water resistance rating, which means the watch can operate in up to 100 meters (over 300 feet) of water.
The ruggedness of the Nixon Mission is complemented by its smartwatch features, which include a number of pre-loaded apps designed to give owners alerts of when and where the best surf or snowboarding conditions are available. It also supports all the standard Android Wear apps so owner can get notifications for emails, messages and more.
Amazon currently has all three colors of the Nixon Mission available (All Black, Concrete, and Orange/Gray/Black). Nixon also has a number of different ways to customize the physical look of the watch, including 12 bezel choices and 24 straps. There’s no word yet on if the Nixon Mission will be updated to Android Wear 2.0, which is scheduled to be released sometime in the first quarter or 2017.
Now that the Nixon Mission is on sale at Amazon, would you consider getting this Android Wear smartwatch?
