LG G5 Android Nougat update

Nougat first became available for the LG G5 in its home nation of South Korea last November and Sprint followed up in the same month to become the first major US carrier to issue it. T-Mobile and UScellular were only a week behind it.

The update then rolled out in Canada in December and was made available to Verizon G5 owners around the same time. AT&T was lagging behind but caught up on February 23 to finish off the major carrier rollouts.

LG G5 Update US

AT&T LG G5 update (H820):

• February 20, 2017, AT&T begins Nougat rollout to the LG G5.

Verizon LG G5 update (VS987):

• December 1, 2016, Verizon customers start receiving the 1.67 GB Nougat update

T-Mobile LG G5 update (H830):

• November 29, 2016, T-Mobile issues the LG G5 Android Nougat update to its customers (UScellular starts November 30)

Sprint LG G5 update (LS992):

• November 21, 2016, Sprint becomes the first major US manufacturer to roll out Android Nougat to the G5

International LG G5 update (H850/H840):

• December 21, 2016: Rogers rolls out the LG G5 Nougat update in Canada
• December 3, 2016: User reports suggest the rollout has started in Europe and Brazil
• November 7, 2016: Android Nougat first hits the LG G5 in South Korea
