Update, January 22, 2020 (10:15 AM ET): Below, we give some details on leaked colorways for the upcoming Huawei P40 series. You can see those colors above.
Today though, reliable leaker Evan Blass tweeted out an image of a new color in the P40 series which can only be described as Mint Green. That might not end up being the official name for the colorway, but it would certainly be appropriate.
See it for yourself below:
If all these colorways end up being real, we will see a whopping six different colors in the P40 series, which seems a bit excessive. Unfortunately, most people won’t care as much about the colorways of the devices as much as they will what’s inside them — or, rather, what’s not inside them, which is Google Apps. As far as we know, the P40 series will join the Mate 30 series in launching without any Google services.
Original article, January 16, 2020 (05:59 AM ET): Just yesterday we saw a color render of the Huawei P40 and now another image showing the P40 Pro has leaked. Reliable tipsters 91Mobiles claim to have obtained the above image of the Huawei P40 Pro and its colorways through an industry source.
The image reaffirms what we’ve been expecting for a while. There are four cameras at the back of the Huawei P40 Pro as opposed to three on the regular P40. The setup is expected to include a primary sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, a ToF sensor, and a 10x optical zoom lens. The image also shows that the quad-camera setup is powered by Leica optics.
Unlike the P40, the Pro variant reportedly features a curved display instead of a flat one. Apart from this tiny design tweak, the two flagship phones look almost identical.
Additionally, 91Mobiles reports that both the P40 and P40 Pro will launch in five colorways. These include: Black, Blush Gold, Silver Frost, Deep Sea Blue, and Ice White. Both phones will reportedly get a gradient finish.
On the front, the Huawei P40 Pro is seen with a dual selfie camera setup. We saw the same pill-shaped punch hole on the above-mentioned P40 render that was leaked yesterday.
