How to get Disney Plus on your Samsung TV

Samsung 55 UHD 4K Curved Smart TV NU7300

When you power up your Samsung TV, the first thing you’ll need is its remote. Not your cable or satellite remote, but the remote shipped with your TV. Once you have it and your TV is connected to the internet, follow these steps:

  • Use the Home button to make sure you’re on the homescreen.
  • Select Apps.
  • Navigate to the search bar and type in Disney.
  • Click on the Disney Plus icon in results. You’ll be prompted to install.

Once you’ve downloaded Disney Plus, you can also choose to add it to your homescreen. If you use it frequently, the app should stay in your Recents tab for faster access. Note that some sets use slightly different interfaces, so there might be variations in options and/or the process.

Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t brought Disney Plus to TVs older than 2016, so you may have to turn to a Roku or Chromecast device in those cases.

How to log in to Disney Plus

Disney Plus prices and trial 2

The first time you open the Disney Plus app on your TV, you’ll be prompted to log in or sign up. Follow onscreen instructions if you need to set up a new account. If you already have an account, there are three ways to log in:

  • Manually entering the email address and password associated with your account.
  • Opening the Disney Plus mobile app and following prompts.
  • Entering an eight-digit code at disneyplus.com/begin after you log in there.

The app option is usually the simplest, so we recommend that whenever possible.
