TL;DR
  • HONOR has teased a new smartwatch called the HONOR Watch.
  • The image shared suggests the watch will have a similar design to the HUAWEI Watch GT.
  • HONOR could unveil the watch on October 31 alongside the HONOR Magic 2.

HONOR has shared a promotional image (spotted by GizmoChina) that suggests the HUAWEI sub-brand is gearing up to launch smartwatch alongside the HONOR Magic 2 at its event on October 31.

The image shows the outline of the device, the date October 31, and the name HONOR Watch. While no other info is given, the outline in the image suggests the watch will have a similar shape to the HUAWEI Watch GT. Specifically, both the teaser image and the Watch GT have a similar circular design and button positioning.

HONOR Watch

Given that HONOR is a HUAWEI sub-brand, it’s possible that the HONOR Watch and the Watch GT could share a design and features. The HUAWEI Watch GT runs HUAWEI’s Lite OS, has GPS, heart rate monitoring, an AMOLED display, and — according to HUAWEI — battery life of up to two weeks with moderate usage.

HONOR hasn’t shared any information about the release date, availability, or price of the watch.

While the promotional material for the device is aimed at the Chinese market, HONOR has previously released smartwatches to the international market. Back in 2016, the HONOR Band Z1 was released in the U.S., while the HONOR S1 smartwatch was given an international release under the name HUAWEI Fit.
