At CES 2016 HONOR officially launched the brand in the United States with the introduction of the HONOR 5x. In addition to launching the mid-range handset, HONOR is also offering the HONOR Band Z1 smartwatch in the states.

The Band Z1 has been available in Asia and parts of Europe since fall of 2015, powered by a Cortex M4 with a 128×128 PMOLED display that gives up to 4 days of use from its 70mAh battery. As you’ve probably guessed, the circular watch doesn’t run on Android Wear and instead uses its own custom UI.

The HONOR Band Z1 is a fairly attractive stainless steel device that gives users the choice of a black, white, or cream strap and is rated IP68, making it water resistant. The best thing about the watch, however, is the pricing. At just $79.99, the Band Z1 is a highly affordable option for those looking to get their first smartwatch without spending a fortune.

It’s true that the Band Z1 doesn’t begin to compare with more expensive smartwatches like the Gear S2 and the Android Wear family, but the price tag certainly makes it a compelling choice for budget minded individuals.
