Flagship phones have reached a whole new level of overpriced in 2018, with phones from Apple, Samsung, and others reaching and exceeding the $1000 mark. Despite what these manufacturers might want you to think, you don’t have to pay a fortune for a high-end Android experience. When it comes to providing flagship-like experiences at a fraction of the price, HONOR is certainly a leader of the pack.

For US buyers there are currently two routes to take when buying from HONOR. If you want a great phone at the absolute lowest price possible, there’s the HONOR 7X. Looking for revolutionary features like advanced AI technology and processing that holds its own against devices running on higher-end Snapdragon chipsets? That’s where the HONOR View10 comes in.

HONOR 7X: Discover how far $200 can go

The HONOR 7X offers dual cameras, a gorgeous 18:9 display, and a battery that lasts a day and a half or more without skipping a beat. That’s a lot of reasons to buy, but what’s even better is the price tag of just $200.

The HONOR 7X is easily one of the best phones you’ll find for under $200, putting competitors like Moto to shame. The handset has a premium metal unibody design that’s paired with a 5.9-inch 18:9 display. Under the hood, you’ll find the power efficient Kirin 659 octa-core processor, backed by 3GB RAM. While this might not be quite as impressive as a high-end Snapdragon, it easily keeps up with mid-range Snapdragons and is surprisingly snappy when it comes to everyday use. Thanks to a powerful GPU, it can also handle even the most high-end Android games without skipping a beat.

If you’re looking for a solid camera experience, you won’t be disappointed. The primary shooter is 16 MP, backed by a secondary 2 MP lens. This second lens allows the phone to offer cool features like applying bokeh effect. While it’s not a flagship camera, the pictures taken are extremely impressive and noticeably better than what you’d get out of competing budget devices.

Bottom-line, if you are looking to save some money and yet still get an Android experience that’s nearly on-par with phones costing four times or more it’s price tag, you can’t go wrong with the HONOR 7X.

HONOR View10: A flagship in every way but the price tag

There is no denying that the HONOR 7X is a great deal, but what if you’re looking for trendsetting features like advanced AI and a processor that matches the Snapdragon 835? Enter the HONOR View10.

The HONOR View10 includes a powerful processor, dual cameras, a massive 18:9 display and lots more. It packs in a ton of flagship features into a phone that only costs $499.

Like the HONOR 7X, you get a premium metallic design that’s less slippery than many of today’s all-glass flagships. It also isn’t going to crack if you drop it. The HONOR View10 is powered by the Kirin 970 octa-core processor, a high-end processor that keeps up with Qualcomm without skipping a beat. Unlike the Snapdragon 835, HONOR’s chipset of choice includes a powerful NPU (Neural processing unit) that adds AI features to the phone, such as app memory maintenance that can help improve performance.

A flagship in every way, but at half the cost of many of its competitors.

Other core features of the HONOR View10 include 6GB RAM, 128GB onboard storage, a 5.99-inch 18:9 display, and a massive 3,750mAh battery. Unlike many other flagships shipping these days, the 7X and View10 both include a headphone jack.

The HUAWEI’s camera experience is nothing short of flagship worthy. The primary color shooter is 16 MP, backed by a secondary 20 MP monochrome lens. This second sensor lets owners create sharper images than you’d get with a single lens setup. Also, the NPU inside allows owners to take pictures faster than ever, as the chip can automatically select the best camera mode to choose from 13 different options.

The HONOR View10 is a flagship in every way; it just happens to cost a lot less. If you are willing to look past brands like Samsung, Apple, and LG — you won’t regret it.

Can’t go wrong with either phone

No matter which device you pick, you’re going to get one steal of a phone. HONOR continues to show the competition you can build a great experience without having to overcharge for it.
