Hohem's latest gimbal lets you film smooth shoots from over 30 feet away
January 6, 2026

- Hohem has announced two new iSteady MT3 gimbals.
- The MT3 Pro offers AI tracking, a detachable touchscreen remote, fast vertical switching, and 20 hours of battery life.
- The base MT3 offers human-only AI tracking, fast vertical switching, and 17 hours of battery life.
Hohem announced a fairly unique-sounding external storage device today. But that wasn’t the only announcement the brand had in store for CES 2026. The company is also adding two new camera gimbals to its lineup.

During CES, Hohem announced the iSteady MT3 and the MT3 Pro. Starting with the Pro model, the iSteady MT3 Pro comes with a built-in 2MP camera that offers AI-powered tracking. This AI model is able to recognize various subjects and track them as you film. The feature is capable of tracking humans, pets, vehicles, buildings, and more.
Also built into the gimbal is a detachable touchscreen remote with live feed monitoring. This touchscreen measures 1.4 inches and can be found on the gimbal handle. If you need to remove it while filming, it will continue to work up to 32.8ft with a low-latency Bluetooth connection. Such a feature could become useful when recording at high or low angles.
A few other notable aspects are that it can handle a payload of around 5.5lbs, offers 20 hours of battery life, and you can quickly switch the camera orientation from horizontal to vertical in four steps. It’s also worth mentioning that as part of the iSteady MT3 Pro Kit, you get the Spot Mini Motor and the Dual Twist Handle. The Spot Mini Motor delivers smooth focusing and zoom control, while the Dual Twist Handle provides more stability.
Meanwhile, the base model iSteady MT3 offers several of the same benefits as the Pro. This includes AI-powered object tracking, fast vertical switching, a long-lasting battery, and a lightweight build. However, there are a few caveats, one being that the AI tracker is only able to track humans. Another is that the battery lasts for 17 hours, not 20 hours. There is a touchscreen, but it’s not detachable like on the Pro. And it can only handle a payload of a little over three pounds.
Hohem did not reveal when the iSteady MT3 and MT3 Pro will launch. But when they do become available, you’ll be able to buy the MT3 for $329, the Pro version for $449, and the Pro Kit for $549.
