This week marks the fifth anniversary of HMD announcing that it would be entering the market with Nokia-branded smartphones and taking over Nokia’s feature phone business.

The company has produced a variety of smartphones since then, but what does HMD need to fix most on its Nokia phones? That’s what we want to find out from you in today’s featured poll. So give us your answer via the poll below and leave a comment if you’d care to elaborate.

What does HMD need to address most with its Nokia smartphones?

On the one hand, the company has offered some interesting phones since its inception. We’ve had the Nokia XR20, Nokia 8, and Nokia 9 PureView. The firm also initially focused on updates and a near-stock take on Android, all while offering a wide geographical footprint too. It’s hard to fault the company when it comes to the latter as it’s one of the few major brands with an almost-global presence that includes North America.

Then again, as our own Dhruv Bhutani noted in an opinion piece, the company has disappointed consumers when it comes to recent software updates and device pricing. And we also haven’t seen any legitimate flagship Nokia phones in several years.

So what do you think? Should HMD address updates, pricing, design/build quality, the lack of flagships, or something else altogether? Choose your option in the poll above.
