TL;DR
  • More Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro renders have leaked.
  • The latest images shed more light on the phones’ software features, hardware, and accessories.
  • This includes facial recognition, camera specs, and a new Pixel Stand.

New official-looking renders of the Google Pixel 6 series have been outed by reliable tipster Evan Blass. Blass dropped several images on Twitter on Thursday which shed more light on the upcoming phones’ likely specs, accessories, and software features.

Let’s start with the software. We get a good look at the Pixel 6 series’ home screen showcasing the new At A Glance widget rework called Live Space. This widget displays the most relevant and timely information to the user. In one instance, it shows details of a forthcoming meeting and current weather conditions. In another, it includes information of an upcoming flight complete with gate number, seat details, and a QR code boarding pass.

We also get a glimpse at the Pixel Security app, which serves as a hub for common device security settings. Here, you’ll find controls for app security, Find My Device, and more.

Several specs are seemingly confirmed by the leak, too. For one, the Security app also confirms that facial recognition will be an unlock option. Judging by shots of the phone covered in water droplets, we can expect the devices to carry an IP rating, too. More interestingly, one image seemingly confirms the Pixel 6 Pro’s long-rumored 50MP+48MP+12MP triple camera array. Finally, in another shot, the phone is resting on what appears to be a redesigned Pixel Stand.

While these images seem to be press renders, we’ll have to wait for Google’s final word on these features. Thankfully, we don’t have too long to wait. The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will debut on October 19.
