TL;DR
  • More Google Pixel 4a 5G renders have been leaked.
  • UK retailer John Lewis has erroneously posted the seemingly official renders on the Pixel 4a retail listing.

The leaks just keep coming. The first official renders of the Google Pixel 4a 5G have seemingly appeared well before the device’s official launch.

The guilty party this time is UK retailer John Lewis (h/t 9to5Google) which posted several detailed renders of the device on a Pixel 4a listing, seemingly by accident. The error is made all the more glaring by the large 5G symbol in the device’s status bar.

It’s unlikely a retailer would be posting unofficial mock-ups of a device too, so it’s safe to assume these are the real deal even if they aren’t perhaps posted in the correct place.

The renders confirm the Pixel 4a 5G will sport a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual rear camera array, and a punch-hole selfie camera upfront. Beyond these details, no other specs can be gleaned from the listing. Earlier rumors point to a display size of 6.2-inches, a Snapdragon 765G SoC beneath it, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Google is expected to launch the Pixel 4a 5G alongside the Pixel 5 at an event on September 30. But we can’t rule out the possibility that more retailers erroneously leaking details of both devices before then.
