We speculated the Pixel 4 would have 6GB of RAM, but these photos make it seem like a given at this point.

The Google Pixel 4 XL front and back design

A user on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo earlier today shared some new images of the upcoming Google Pixel 4. The posts have since been deleted, but luckily XDA Developers and CNMO were able to save them before they vanished.

While the photos of the phone itself don’t show us much we haven’t already seen before, there are two notable bits of info the pics seem to confirm. The first is that the Pixel 4 series could come with 6GB of RAM, a first for the Pixel line.

We speculated that the Pixel 4 would have that much RAM earlier in the leak cycle, but these photos suggest it’s pretty much a given.

Check out the photos for yourself — note the closeup image of the display with the RAM amount:

Aside from the amount of RAM, the photos also seem to confirm that there will be 8x zoom capabilities on board for the Pixel 4. This suggests that the second lens on the back of the device will likely be a telephoto lens — although how much it can zoom and how much zooming Google’s AI smarts are doing we’re not sure.

All in all, these features aren’t too surprising, but we still have a month left before we expect Google to formally launch the Pixel 4 line. It could be another year where Google launches a Pixel device and we already know everything about it. Oh well.

What do you think? Does 6GB of RAM and an 8x zoom capability make you more excited for the Google Pixel 4? Or is this not enough? Sound off in the comments!
