TL;DR
  • Google Photos is getting a new curated section for coffee lovers.
  • The Blissful buzz selection will showcase images of your favorite cups of joe.

With ongoing lockdowns around the world, coffee lovers (including this writer) have had to live with home brews instead of their favorite cuppas from their favorite coffee shops. It’s by no means the biggest lockdown worry, but caffeine withdrawal is a very real thing! Interestingly, Google Photos now has a feature (h/t 9to5Google) to remind you of some of your best buzzy moments.

The app now presents a caffeine-focused “Blissful buzz” selection that curates all the photos you’ve taken of your delicious coffees. Why? Because who doesn’t need to look at a beautiful cup of joe with that perfect milk froth on top?

On the other hand, staring at some of these images may make your cravings even worse. Still, it’s nice to know that good coffee is around, even if it’s just in the form of pictures on your phone.

The new Blissful buzz section of Google Photos is now available on the Android and iOS versions of the app. If you have images that match Google’s criteria, you’ll see this section populated. If you’re not a coffee photographer, though, you’re out of luck.

That said, if you can’t find your Blissful buzz section in Google Photos, wait for a few days for it to roll out on your accounts.
