At 543 Howard Street in San Francisco, Google is opening up a new “innovation space” that will be the home of Launchpad, Google’s startup accelerator.

The new workspace is meant to act as a hub for startups focused on AI solutions within various industries, including health, finances, and social services. At the new location, startup teams can meet with Googlers and other professionals to hash out ideas, meet with members of the community, or meet with each other.

Although 0ur world is more connected than ever, Google is of the belief that getting everyone into one room working together is how innovation truly happens. Plus, having a dedicated space in San Francisco will allow tech startups to have an area to meet with community members who will be most affected by the work these startups are doing.

Aside from AI startups, the new space will also be used for various developers and designers to workshop ideas as well as serve as a hub for industry-wide Developer Relations’ diversity and inclusion efforts.

If you look in the photo above, you can see the motto of the space written right on the walls: “We must continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”

Later this year, Google plans to open at least two more locations in Singapore and Lagos.
