Google brings the third-generation Chromecast to India

Google kept its latest Chromecast off stage at its recent hardware event in New York earlier this month keeping the focus on the Pixels, the Pixel Slate, and the Google Home Hub, but the product went on sale in the US soon after the event wrapped up.

The 2018 Google Chromecast is the third-generation product from the company and has quickly made its way to India.

The all-new Chromecast features a refreshed design that aligns with the rest of the ‘Made by Google’ family of devices. The latest Chromecast works seamlessly with Google Home allowing you to just say what you want to watch from compatible services, like YouTube or Netflix, and control your TV.

In terms of capability, there’s a slight bump with support for streaming in 1080p at 60 frames per second. It was limited to 30fps on the second-gen Chromecast.

Third-gen Chromecast

Priced at 3,499 rupees ($48), the new Chromecast is available in Charcoal color exclusively on Flipkart. Every Chromecast purchase comes with a one-year Sony LIV Premium subscription along with a six-month Gaana Plus subscription.
