Google Chrome has recently faced a backlash from enthusiasts and tech news outlets due to a major change coming next year. The company is switching to a new extension platform dubbed Manifest v3, but this will effectively break many ad-blocking extensions.

We’ve seen quite a negative reaction to this news on the likes of Reddit, but is this enough for you to switch from Chrome? That’s what we want to know in our featured poll today, so give us your answer below.

We totally understand if you plan to switch from Chrome or have already made the jump to an alternative browser. After all, ad-blocking extensions are almost essential for browsing some websites. Then again, you may have already jumped to an alternative web browser for unrelated reasons.

We can also see why some people might want to stay with Chrome through all of this. You might feel that it’s a hassle to transfer your browsing data to another web browser. Or maybe you’re just happy with the Chrome experience in the first place. It’s also worth noting that several other Chromium-powered web browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Vivaldi are embracing the controversial new extension platform too.
