TL;DR
  • Wellness expert Deepak Chopra has partnered with Fitbit to bring mindfulness sessions to Fitbit Premium.
  • There are 10 sessions launching today, with “dozens more” arriving in the coming months.
  • The Mindful Method sessions are only available to Fitbit Premium subscribers.

It’s no secret that stress was high throughout 2020 and continues to be in 2021. The height of the COVID-19 pandemic brought some of the highest stress and anxiety levels we’ve seen in recent history. If not treated properly, physical and mental stress can lead to more serious health conditions like depression.

That’s why Fitbit is continuing to focus its attention on mindfulness and wellbeing techniques. It already has a plethora of mindfulness sessions available in the Fitbit app, and today the company is adding even more with the help of mindfulness expert Deepak Chopra.

Deepak Chopra and Fitbit are debuting a new series of mindfulness exercises called the Mindful Method. It’s a collection of audio and video sessions designed to improve your emotional wellbeing by addressing things like your mindfulness, sleep, stress management, mental wellness, and mind-body connection.

A total of 10 audio and video sessions are available today, with dozens more arriving in the coming months. Each one is less than 20 minutes, so it should be easy to fit one into your daily routine. The sessions launching today are focused on meditation, managing emotions, winding down for the day, and stress relief.

The Mindful Method sessions are only available to Fitbit Premium subscribers. Fitbit’s premium subscription service costs $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year.

Fitbit Premium

We’ve been torn as to whether or not Fitbit Premium is actually worth the cost. While it does offer guided programs and dynamic workouts that are well-suited for beginners, it is lacking in features for intermediate-advanced users. Regardless, Deepak Chopra’s mindfulness sessions will no doubt add a ton of value to Fitbit Premium, even if there are only 10 sessions launching at the start.
