Do Fitbit Charge 4 bands work with the Fitbit Charge 5?
Fitbit has officially launched the much-anticipated Fitbit Charge 5. A direct successor to the already popular Fitbit Charge 4, the device packs a number of exciting upgrades, including new bands.
The Fitbit Charge 5 features an AMOLED display, as well as advanced sensors for tracking your heart rate, stress levels, and more. These major updates should be comforting to Charge fans who hope the Google-owned company will continue to support and improve this line.

While Fitbit packed even more into the new Charge 5, they pulled it off in less space. The latest fitness tracker is significantly thinner than its predecessor, and as such, isn’t compatible with Charge 4 bands.
Are Fitbit Charge 4 bands compatible with the Fitbit Charge 5?
When we’re so used to seeing oversized wearables, the Fitbit Charge line already seems accessibly small by comparison. The new Fitbit Charge 5 is even sleeker. Rounded edges and a thinner design make this the smallest yet, and unfortunately, the cost is compatibility. According to Fitbit, bands from the Fitbit Charge 4 will not work with the evolved shape of the Charge 5. This holds true for other Fitbit Charge 4 accessories as well.
That doesn’t mean you’re out of options. Fitbit Charge 5 bands are available in a variety of colors and styles on the Fitbit website, including Horween leather, silicon sport or loop bands, and nylon hook and loop bands. You can find cheaper options for replacement bands from third-party retailers like Amazon.
