Samsung is a Worldwide Partner (read “deep-pocketed sponsor”) of the Olympic Games, and it’s only natural for the Korean giant to exploit the connection as much as possible. One of the most exciting tie-ups is a special Olympic edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge, which just leaked courtesy of Evan Blass.

The Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic edition features a black body, with accents in the other four Olympic colors – yellow (home button and speaker grille), blue (camera and heart rate module), red (power button), and green (volume buttons).

Specifications are likely to remain identical to the regular version of the Galaxy S7 Edge, while the UI will probably be stuffed with Olympic-themed content, including wallpapers, themes, and ringtones.

If the Batman-themed Injustice Edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge is any indication, the Olympic edition will come in a themed package, bundled with a Gear VR and potentially other themed items.

You can bet that Samsung and the International Olympic Committee will make a big fuss about the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic edition when it’s officially announced closer to the opening ceremony of the Rio 2016 games.

What we don’t know is whether Samsung will sell this Olympic edition to the public or distribute it exclusively to athletes attending the Games in order to generate buzz for its brand.

What do you think of this design? Would you buy it?
