Casio's cute digital ring watch just got a successor

Casio did something novel in 2024, creating a digital watch in the form of a ring. It later went on to release a second ring watch that incorporated health tracking features. The company is back again with a new ring watch, but this time the device is a direct successor to the original.

The design of the CRW-002 is based on the Casio A168 from 1995. It features an injection-molded metal casing and band with a mineral glass face. Under the glass is a seven-segment LCD screen that displays hours, minutes, and seconds. You’ll also find three working side buttons.

The CRW-002 is essentially a miniaturized digital watch, meaning you get many of the same features. It can switch from a 12-hour format to a 24-hour format, there’s a 1/100-second stopwatch, it features an auto calendar, and it’s water resistant. This ring watch also includes an LED backlight that you can set to flash daily or every hour. Since it’s a direct successor to the CRW-001, not the CRW-H001, don’t expect heart rate monitoring or other smart features.

While there’s only one size (10.5), you can get spacers to get the ring to fit on smaller fingers. Included with the ring watch is a 19mm spacer and an 18mm spacer.

The CRW-002 will become available on Casio’s website this November. It will be available in two color options: silver and gold. The silver model will be less expensive at $135, while the gold model will sell for $155.
