We asked, you told us: Most of you aren't buying the Galaxy S20

The most popular Galaxy S20 variant with Android Authority readers is actually pretty surprising.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 line is here and each phone has a lot going for it. Be it the smaller size of the Galaxy S20, the gigantic screen of the Galaxy S20 Plus, or the crazy 108MP camera setup of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, these phones really are top tier for early 2020. But as we’ve discussed, they might not be for everybody.

That’s why I asked you to tell us which model you’re buying. The S20? S20 Plus? Or are you still undecided? Out of over 1,200 total votes, we have a pretty good idea as to which ones you’re interested in.

Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, or Ultra: Which are you buying?

Results

The frontrunner for the poll, believe it or not, is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with 24% of the overall votes. That’s pretty surprising considering the phone’s $1,399 price tag. A not-so-close second place goes to the Galaxy S20 Plus with 16.8% of the votes. The smaller Galaxy S20 came in last place with a lowly 9.7% of the votes.

Overall, though, it looks like most Android Authority readers aren’t buying any of them. 40.6% said they’re not buying any of the three S20s.

The Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra are super-premium 5G smartphones from the South Korean company. No matter what you're looking for, the Galaxy S20 line likely has something to suit your needs.

Here’s what you had to say

Here are some of the best comments from last week’s poll explaining why they voted the way that they did:

  • Alucard: I would be willing to overlook the terrible design if it wasn’t for Exynos being a terrible and unoptimized SoC. No way in hell am I paying 1350 for such an inferior chip
  • AnySmarterIdRunLinux: These phones are a perfect example of a company listening to its customers to identify what they want in a product. And then doing something else entirely. Skipping this generation is not a difficult decision. Am i left to pin my hopes on LG? Sad day indeed.
  • Selso Ouiti: None. Waiting for Note 20 or Fold 2.

That’s it for this week. As always, thanks for voting, thanks for the comments, and don’t forget to let us know what you thought of the results below!
