If the Galaxy Fold was cheaper, would you buy it? (Poll of the Week)

Entirely new device categories don’t come around too often, so when they do we tend to make a big deal out of them. Foldables have been The Next Big Things for some time, but they’re all struggling to come to market. The Galaxy Fold is just now going on sale after numerous delays. We know the HUAWEI Mate X is coming in October, we just don’t know the exact date. And we still haven’t heard anything solid about Motorola’s foldable Razr phone from the company.

The Galaxy Fold is the only real foldable you can buy right now. We gave it a relatively high score in our full review, but we’d also understand if you were hesitant to buy it right now — especially at its near-$2,000 price tag. We expect the price to come down eventually, but it might be awhile.

But what if it didn’t cost $2,000? What if it was available for something closer to the $1,000 mark like the other top-tier phones?
