Editor’s note: We’ll be updating this list of the best waterproof phones regularly as new devices launch.

1. Dash & Lily

Based on the New York Times bestselling book Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares, this limited eight-episode series stars two young people who communicate in a notebook that they pass around in New York City, but they never actually talk to each other face to face. Can these two potential lovebirds find each other before the holiday season is over?

2. Holiday Home Makeover with Mr. Christmas

This is a four-episode reality series that stars interior decorator Benjamin “Mr. Christmas” Bradley. He and his team go to a new house in each episode and turn it into a Christmas vision of decorations and lights that would make Clark Griswold blush.

3. The Holiday Movies that Made Us (December 1)

This is a two-episode series from the same team that brought us The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us. This time, the team looks, with a lot of humor, at the making and legacy of two unusual Christmas-themed movies: Elf and The Nightmare Before Christmas. You can also go back and watch The Movies That Made Us for two more holiday-themed episodes: the making of Home Alone and Die Hard.

4. Home for Christmas Season 2 (December 18)

The first season of the Norway-based Home for Christmas became a holiday hit worldwide for Netflix. It featured a young woman who had just a few weeks to find a boyfriend to bring to her family’s Christmas celebration. The first season ended up on a cliffhanger. The trailer for season 2 shows a lot of happy folks celebrating Christmas, but we suspect that there’s more to this season than meets the eye.

5. Over Christmas (November 27)

Here’s another new foreign language Christmas Netflix series that looks very fun. It will focus on a musician who has had a bad string of luck over the holidays. He just wants to go home to his family, but it looks like some of his issues follow him back home.

6. Sugar Rush Christmas Season 2 (November 27)

Sugar Rush is the Netflix show with real, and highly skilled bakers. This year, the show has a second season of special Christmas episodes that starts November 27. Teams of bakers compete against each other to make the best looking, and best tasting, holiday treats.  This is definitely one of the best new Netflix Christmas specials and TV shows.

7. The Great British Baking Show – Holidays Season 3 (December 4)

The popular UK series will launch its third holiday season via Netflix in the US on December 4. This year, the season brings back bakers from past seasons of the show to see if they can make some great holiday food and treats. Some UK sitcom stars also join in the fun this year.

8. Dragons Rescue Riders Huttsgalor Holiday

This Netflix Christmas special is strictly for the kids, and that’s a good thing. Based on the How To Train Your Dragon movie series, this holiday special features the Rescue Riders as they celebrate the Viking holiday of giving, called Odinyule. If your kids are fans of the movies, this is a must-watch for Christmas.

That’s a look at the best new Netflix Christmas specials and TV shows for 2020. Remember, there are also a ton of original Netflix Christmas movies being released this year as well.
