Dict Box is an excellent and simple dictionary app. This one translates between English and Persian (Farsi) and that’s it. There are other apps by the same developer that cover other languages. Some of the features include complete offline support, word suggestions, text pronunciations, pictures, and more. It even works with other apps like your browser. This is a good, simple, lightweight option for those who only need something basic. The premium version removes ads, but otherwise, both free and premium versions work about the same way.

Most of those do exactly what you expect them to do. This is another cheap, lightweight option that only works with Persian (Farsi) and English. It’s also entirely free with no in-app purchases. There are ads, though.

Persian-English Translator is a lightweight, simple translator app. Honestly, we would recommend Google Translate over this. However, this provides a second, lighter option for those that want to go that route. The app features translation between English and Persian (Farsi) and back again. You also get voice input, translation history, and support for both words and phrases. This is really basic and it works pretty well. It’s free with no in-app purchases. There are ads in this app.
Bonus: Persian (Farsi) learning apps
Persian (Farsi) learning apps is another way to get what you need. Most of those apps include basic stuff like a dictionary, a translation service, a phrasebook, and other stuff. Of course, with a language learning app, you also get various lessons, memorization techniques, and stuff like that. It may be in your best interests to just go the extra mile and start learning the language. These apps tend to be much more complex and expensive, but they also contain much more content. We recommend trying out Memrise (linked), Mondly, and Rosetta Stone for the most professional options.
