A video of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge running Android Oreo has appeared online. The footage was published yesterday while reports that the update had accidentally been pushed to S7 Edges in the region were coming in.

The update, firmware version G935FXXU2ERB2, appeared just ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Oreo update, and was seemingly an isolated incident. For these reasons, there were suspicions that the story was fake.

The unofficial Samsung Viet Channel (via SamMobile) uploaded the video which appears to prove otherwise. It shows a screen-recording of the S7 Edge running the Experience 9.0 skin as seen in the recent Galaxy S8 Oreo beta, with the same home screen UI, buttons, updated camera app etc. Check it out below.

While we don’t know for sure if this is the exact software that will roll out when Samsung begins its official S7/S7 Edge Oreo deployment, we can assume it represents something very similar to what will be in the final build.

In related news, Android Oreo has started rolling out to Galaxy S8 devices in Germany. The Note 8 rollout should follow soon, before the S7 series is expected to become the new priority.
