Amazfit PowerBuds Pro launched: Health-focused earbuds get better
- Huami has launched the Amazfit PowerBuds Pro.
- The new earbuds maintain the original model’s integrated heart-rate sensor.
- It also offers cervical spine reminders if you’re in a fixed position for too long.
Huami launched Amazfit PowerBuds last year, combining true wireless earbuds with fitness features to deliver a great buy at a $99 launch price. What if you want a few more features though? That’s where the newly announced Amazfit PowerBuds Pro come in.
Huami’s latest pair of TWS earbuds maintain the original model’s integrated heart-rate sensor, allowing you to exercise without a dedicated fitness tracker. But the new model also introduces several other health-focused features.
For starters, the PowerBuds Pro touts the ability to detect the angle of your cervical spine when sitting. It will then alert users when they’re in a fixed position for too long, reminding them to move their head and neck. The firm also says the earbuds can now intelligently and automatically recognize when you start running and track your data accordingly.
Otherwise, the manufacturer is also promising three microphones, active noise cancellation (along with four modes, up to 40 decibels), the old model’s IP55 rating, up to nine hours of juice via the earbuds, and up to 30 hours of juice with the charging case.
The Amazfit PowerBuds Pro will be available to pre-order from July 15 for $149.99 in the US and €129.90 in Germany and Spain.
