A Vietnamese website called Netnews got its hands on an image of an alleged Galaxy S9 retail box, which reveals some of the specs of the upcoming smartphone  check it out below.

It shows that the flagship could be equipped with a 12 MP primary camera with OIS and variable aperture — f/1.5 for low-light shots and f/2.4 for brighter environments. We’ve already seen this technology on Samsung’s high-end flip phone called the W2018, which launched back in December. You can check out what the variable aperture looks like in action below.

The retail box also mentions “Super Slow-mo”, which is in line with rumors that the Galaxy S9 could capture videos at 1,000 fps — just like the Sony Xperia XZ Premium.

Other specs revealed include a 5.8-inch display with Quad HD+ resolution, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and an iris scanner. The device could also have stereo speakers on board and ship with a free pair of headphones, both of which should be tuned by AKG.

Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S9 could come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It should also be IP68 rated for protection against water and dust, and support wireless charging.

These are all the details revealed by the alleged Galaxy S9 retail box, none of which have been confirmed yet. However, there are plenty of other rumors going around about the device, which will make its debut at MWC next month. To learn more, check out our Galaxy S9 rumor roundup post.
