sony xperia z3 review (10 of 26)

After yesterday’s big sensor news, one might be forgiven for assuming Sony is all been there, done that with the Xperia Z3. While it may indeed be pummeling the pending PR for a certain event, we’re happy that for those living by today’s tech, things are already good. Resplendent actually. Sony has just blogged about its Xperia Photo Academy, a digital gallery of sorts, showcasing three professional photographer’s work. Taken in-and-of itself this may not seem so exciting, but when you realize all the photos were captured with the Xperia Z3’s camera, it’s OK to be dazzled.

Take a look at some sample images:

Those who follow the link to the Xperia Photo Academy’s Facebook homepage will find three online courses for taking expert pictures (though at the time of this writing, only the first is available) and a plethora of additional images, although these don’t appear quite as high quality or professional as those from the aforementioned blog posting. It is unclear as to if the photos were taken with the smartphone’s camera, or if they were simply contributed as part of the contest to win a Z3 from Sony, though one would wager it’s the latter case. Suffice to say the Xperia Z3’s camera (and Z3 Compact, which also has the same set-up!) is pretty… well, pretty!
