Last month, Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy J5 (2017). The company has now already revealed an upgraded version of the smartphone, called the Galaxy J5 Pro, which made its debut today in Thailand. Whereas the Galaxy J5 features 2 GB or RAM and 16 GB of storage, the Pro variant has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of space. All other specs remain the same.

This means that the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution and is powered by the Exynos 7870 chipset. It comes equipped with two 13 MP cameras (front and rear), both of which have LED flash. The smartphone is made of metal, supports expandable storage (up to 256 GB), and packs a 3,000 mAh battery.

Other things worth mentioning are the fingerprint scanner located on the front, dual-SIM support, and Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s custom skin on top. In terms of design, Samsung’s latest smartphone is quite similar to a lot of other Galaxy devices, which can either be a good or a bad thing depending on whom you ask.

In Thailand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro is available for THB 9,990, which is around $295. No word on when or if it will make it to other markets across the globe.
