Razer Forge TV AA

Razer’s first Android TV-powered set-top box, called the Forge TV, is now available for purchase from the Google Store for $149.99. Not only will you receive free shipping with your order, but the Serval Controller is also included in the package.

Measuring just 104.9 x 104.9 x 17.02mm and weighing 240.4g, the set-top box is quite small compared to other Android TV offerings on the market. As for the device’s internals, it comes with a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 420 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet. The specifications don’t fare well against Nvidia’s newly-released Shield Android TV, though the included Serval Controller (sold separately for a hefty $79.99) is compatible with Android phones and tablets, which should provide some extra functionality to consumers.

You can now purchase the Razer Forge TV bundle through the Google Store for $149.99, which is also what the device is going for on Amazon. It should be noted, however, that the set-top box has earned itself a sad 1.8 out of 5 star rating on Amazon. With that being said, the 16GB NVIDIA Shield Android TV is available for just $50 more on Amazon, which may be a better option for you.
