OnePlus has announced today that it is beginning to push out an update that will fix a camera image corruption issue, which has been plaguing some OnePlus X owners over the past month or so.

The problem cropped up following a previous update which introduced manual camera controls to the default camera app last month. After taking a picture, some users would occasionally notice that the image was corrupted and unusable, but oddly it doesn’t appear to have affected all OnePlus X handsets.

“We are pushing out a hotfix for the image corruption issue some of you have been seeing with the OnePlus Camera after the last update. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, we expect to see this issue fully resolved with this update.”

The little update only weighs in at 9.5MB, so we aren’t expecting any other tweaks or fixes with the patch. Updates can usually take a while to arrive for everyone, but this time the manufacturer aims to have the update land for all of its OnePlus X customers within the next 48 hours.
