Ahead of the release of the OnePlus 3 next month, OnePlus is offering sizeable discounts to its existing fleet of devices.

In a blog post, OnePlus said it’s lowering the price of its smartphones in order to provide the best possible experience to its customers. It looks like the price drops are varying from country to country, but in the USA, the deal is quite appealing: a $50 cut on the OnePlus 2, OnePlus X, and OnePlus One.

If you bought an OnePlus smartphone over the past 14 days, you’re entitled to a refund that covers today’s discount. Make sure to contact OnePlus support in order to receive your money back.

It’s good to see OnePlus come up with a non-gimmicky promo that brings even more value to its phones. Controversial as they may be, OnePlus devices are still among the top choices if you’re looking for the best bang for your money.

Of course, OnePlus isn’t doing this out of charity: the company is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 3possibly on June 14 – and a price cut will help with clearing stocks and building up hype for the next generation. On a related note, OnePlus gave away 30,000 of its new Loop VR headsets, developed together with Ant VR; the OnePlus 3 will be initially available through a virtual reality storefront, a world first.

This appears to be a permanent price reduction, no strings attached.
