HTC promised the One A9 would get updates within a 15-day window after Google released software to its Nexus line. Needless to say that’s a bold move. Any manufacturer would have trouble fulfilling such pledge, and we can’t say HTChas been the best at software updates.

We later found out HTCwasn’t only talking about the significant software updates. They are going all the way down to those monthly security updates Google rolls out to its Nexus line.

This phone is definitely not for everyone, as we mentioned in our HTC One A9 review, but we will have to say that software buffs should be very pleased with what HTCis doing here. How many of you bought the HTCOne A9? Have you gotten the update yet? You shouldn’t really see any differences after installing it… and that’s a good thing. It’s just something to keep your device safe. Oh, and do keep in mind this is only for the US, unlocked version. These updates tend to roll out in batches, so be patient if yours hasn’t shown up yet.
