As you’ve learned from our MWC 2015 coverage already, Samsung brings a stunning redesign, a less bloated Touchwiz and plenty of other improvements to the latest member of the Galaxy family. In many ways the Galaxy S6’s hardware and software are more about refinement than giving us never before seen features, and that’s especially true for Touchwiz. However, that’s not to say there’s nothing new at all.

One of the most intriguing features for the latest version of Touchwiz is the addition of Themes, a new app that makes theming TouchWiz easy. To change up the look of your phone, you simply open up the Themes app, and can then either pick from what is available or download additional themes from the store. After that, it’s a matter of hitting apply, and just like that fonts, the settings menu, notification dropdown, and even core applications like the dialer, messaging or calendar can be switched up.

Theming is obviously nothing new to Android users, from custom launchers to icon packs and more, but Samsung’s approach is both easy to use and works on a pretty deep level. Even better, it’s not just Samsung designing these themes. Right now the Themes store has limited options, but the system is open for third party developers and so just about anyone with the knowledge and desire can create custom themes for the Galaxy S6.

We’ll be sure to go more in-depth with Themes when we do our full review of the Galaxy S6, but in the meantime be sure to check out the gallery below for a better look at Samsung theming in action:
