nexus 6 review aa (11 of 14)

Good gosh the Nexus 6 is big. Having just received it a few hours ago, let it be known that gravity is not its friend. For all those with slippery fingers, there is a certain element of fear at having spent a ton of money on a new Nexus and it breaking. All the more so without any kind of extended warranty plan in tow. Google had previously surprised Nexus 5 owners when it decided to repair those with damaged screens, and apparently this gift most gracious is expanding to the Sea World-sized stand-in for this year.

Here’s the full story, straight from Reddit user aznfury:

[quote qtext=”So I dropped my new Nexus 6 on the stone patio and I absolutely hated the world. I called Google (I ordered from the GPS) up and told them what happened and to my surprise they sent a brand new one over night for FREE! I just had to send the broken one back. ” qperson=”aznfury” qsource=”Reddit (aznfury)” qposition=”center”]

And there you have it. While one particular user’s experience should not be viewed as indicative of a broader policy, chances are if you play nice Google might forgive your butterfingers as well. Still, it’s a good idea to invest in a quality case.
