Fossil Q Founder 4

First announced back in October, Fossil’s very first Android Wear-powered smartwatch, the Q Founder, was set to make its way to store shelves sometime “this holiday season.” Details regarding the watch’s availability have been pretty scarce since its launch, but thankfully that’s changing today. You can now purchase the Q Founder smartwatch from Fossil for $295.

It’s not the most inexpensive Android Wear device on the market, but it’s still far from the most expensive. It comes in only one size, 46mm, measures 13mm thick and comes with an interchangeable 22mm Silver stainless steel band. It also sports 4GB of on-board storage, an accelerometer, gyroscope, and a 400mAh battery that Fossil says will last you 24 hours on a single charge. It also has an IP67 rating, which means it’ll be protected from dust and water immersion up to 1 meter in depth.

I’m surprised this is the price of the watch. It’s tempting.

They didn’t forget to copy the black bar.

    Where is Cafe 54? lol

    Flat tire. Inexcusable.

The lack of a heart rate sensor is my main concern about it, otherwise it would definitely be the most tempting smartwatch for me right now as I really liked the design. I wonder if the Intel processor has anything to do witht he lack of a heart rate sensor in both this and the tag huer watch.

I thought the same thing about smart watches, but after using the moto 360 for a few months now I wouldn’t factor it into my next purchasing decision. I just don’t have that much use for it. It’s also far from accurate.

When will smartwatches come with NFC for Android Pay?!

    • Jason

      Sw3 has it already.

It looks very nice, specially for the $275 that they originally said it would cost. But I am actually a bit disappointed, not so much of the flat tire, but the overall specs. It is not bad, but with every new successful product, consumers expect either equal or better overall than competition. This one is not better in any category. I am buying the Huawei Watch this week.

It has double the ram of other smart watches and it runs intel not snapdragon

no heart rate sensor, fewer dpi, no amoled, but the deal breaker for me is no wifi. I want to be able to roam around the house and not have to have the phone at bluetooth distance in order to get notifications.
But yes, 1G ram is good. Intel better than Snapdragon is still debatable

It has wireless charging. Wifi. Bluetooth. Check out my vid on youtube.

I would like to try one of the Fossil Q Founder watches. I think it is the best looking one yet.
