Even with its low price, the ASUS Zenfone 2 managed to be an enticing phone with good specs and a build quality that is hard to beat at its price range. I was recommending the phone left and right, but it has been over a year since that phone was launched. It’s time for something new, and now we have something that suggests a successor is coming.
The ASUS Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe have shown up over at Red Dot 21‘s website. The page is known for its design-focused awards, showcasing the best-built tech products in the market. Of course, the Zenfone 3 is not getting any awards… yet. This is simply an entry that was likely published by ASUS, itself.
So, what can we gather from this profile page? Sadly, not too much. It is stated the upcoming handset will feature 2.5D glass in the front and back, with a curved aluminum frame adorning the edges.
The ‘About’ page also mentions USB Type-C connectivity, flashes in both sides of the phone, laser-supported auto-focus, a fingerprint reader and an optional “Smart Flip Cover”.
Aside from that, all we can grab from this page is the image above, which does showcase a very good looking handset. If the previous iteration is something to go by, we can expect a very reasonable price and great bang for your buck.
This is the first time we report on the ASUS Zenfone 3 series, but be sure more is coming in due time. Let’s hope the announcement comes sooner than later!
