While last year’s Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 made significant changes to make the full screen experience a more one-handed affair, the Mi Mix 2s is mainly here to refine those changes. That sense of iteration is apparent in the specifications, but it also solidifies the Mi Mix 2S’ status as a beast.
The biggest change with the Mi Mix 2S is its dual primary cameras, with the second camera acting as the telephoto lens and allowing for portrait shots. The main sensor also got an upgrade to the Sony IMX363, which should deliver better low-light shots and improved detail.

Speaking of improvements, the Mi Mix 2S also moves up to the Snapdragon 845 and comes in three variants: one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, another with the same RAM amount and double the storage, and a third with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
All three variants sport the same ceramic back and curved aluminum alloy frame we have seen before. Even with the ceramic, the Mi Mix 2S supports Qi wireless charging.
The showstopper continues to be that Full HD+ panel that features an 18:9 aspect ratio and a near-bezelless design. There is still room for a small phone speaker at the top, though the 5MP selfie camera is still at the bottom of the device. This means you will have to flip the Mi Mix 2S to take a selfie.
