Xiaomi Mi Band 7 goes global for $52

Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi Band 7 globally. The fitness tracker was released in China last month.

The company silently announced the international release of the Mi Band 7 alongside a bunch of other products. As has been the case with previous Mi Bands, Xiaomi has renamed the Mi Band 7 as “Mi Smart Band 7” for global markets.

The updated tracker features a larger 1.62-inch Always-on AMOLED display compared to the 1.56-inch display of the Mi Band 6. Xiaomi has also refreshed the UI of the band with redrawn icons, new effects, and improved data visuals.

In terms of features and tracking capabilities, the Mi Band 7 brings over 110 sports modes, including three brand new ones to measure training load, recovery duration, and training effect. There’s also a new VO₂ max professional workout analysis, which measures the maximum amount of oxygen users utilize during exercise.

Apart from the new additions, the Mi Band 7 features all the basic fitness features such as continuous heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, step and calorie tracking, and more. You can read about all Mi Band 7 features in detail here.

Xiaomi hasn’t specified if the global Mi Band 7 model comes with NFC and a voice assistant. The features are something Xiaomi doesn’t make widely available outside of China. Last year, Xiaomi launched a special Mi Band 6 NFC version with Alexa in the global market. However, it works in only 15 countries to facilitate contactless payments. We’re guessing Xiaomi will launch an NFC version of the Mi Band 7 at a later date, but we’ll know more once the tracker goes on sale globally.

As for the price, the Mi Band 7 is slotted at €49.9 (~$52). It will be available soon in multiple band color options, including Ivory, Orange, Green, Blue, Black, Pink, Fluorescence Green, Fluorescence Orange, Camouflage Green, and Camouflage Blue.
