TL;DR
  • XGIMI has launched the Horizon 30 Pro, Max, and Ultra Max with RGB triple-laser projection and 4K/120Hz across the lineup.
  • Brightness reaches 6,000 ISO lumens, while the Ultra Max tops out at 10,000:1 native contrast.
  • US pre-orders start at $1,899 through October 31, with open sales beginning November 1.

XGIMI barely gave its latest projectors time to warm up before rolling out another trio. Just days after revealing US pricing for the Aura 3 series, the company has launched the Horizon 30 series, a new family of home projectors aimed at people who want one big screen to handle movie nights, Sunday football, and a gaming session without picking favorites.

The lineup includes the Horizon 30 Pro, Horizon 30 Max, and Horizon 30 Ultra Max. All three use RGB triple-laser light sources and support 4K at 120Hz, while brightness and contrast scale up as you move up the range. Compared with the Horizon 20 family, XGIMI says the new series delivers up to 15% more brightness, seven times the native contrast, and double the refresh rate.

The Pro starts things off at 4,800 ISO lumens with an 8,000:1 native contrast ratio. The Max raises those figures to 5,300 lumens and 9,000:1, while the Ultra Max tops out at 6,000 ISO lumens and 10,000:1. All three also support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and a Dual Intelligent Iris system that adjusts light as scenes change.

Gaming is another big part of the pitch. All three models support VRR, ALLM, AMD FreeSync, and 4K/120Hz playback, with input latency rated as low as 1ms at 1080p/240Hz and 1.9ms at 4K/120Hz. Both HDMI ports support 4K/120Hz, and HDMI 1 also supports eARC, so the setup should play nicely with consoles and external audio gear.

The Horizon 30 series also runs Google TV and includes dual 12W Harman Kardon speakers with DTS Virtual:X. Setup flexibility is another major theme too, with optical zoom, lens shift, automatic keystone correction, autofocus, obstacle avoidance, screen alignment, and a built-in stand that can rotate horizontally and tilt vertically. Lens Memory can save up to five custom setups, useful if you switch between standard 16:9 viewing and ultrawide movies.

XGIMI Horizon 30 Pro, 30 Max, and 30 Ultra Max pricing and availability

US pricing starts at $2,499 for the Pro, $2,999 for the Max, and $3,499 for the Ultra Max. Pre-orders run from October 12 through October 31 at discounted prices of $1,899, $2,499, and $2,999, respectively, before open sales begin on November 1.
