Oct 6, 2026 — 1:27 PM ET

- XGIMI has opened US reservations for the Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro ahead of their October 20 Kickstarter launch.
- Kickstarter pricing starts at $2,399 for the Max and $2,199 for the Pro, but a refundable $50 deposit cuts both by another $200.
- Shipping is expected to begin in December, with Google TV, 4K/120Hz gaming, and ultra-short-throw projection among the headline features.
A month after XGIMI used IFA to show off just how ridiculous a living-room projector can get, the Aura 3 series finally has the part of the spec sheet that matters to wallets: US pricing. And while the retail numbers sit firmly in luxury-TV territory, early buyers can shave a chunky amount off the bill.
XGIMI has opened US reservations for the Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro ahead of a Kickstarter campaign launching October 20 (via Notebookcheck). The Max will start at $2,399 for Kickstarter backers, while the Pro will cost $2,199. Better yet, putting down a refundable $50 deposit through XGIMI knocks another $200 off, dropping the Super Early Bird prices to $2,199 and $1,999, respectively. XGIMI lists eventual MSRPs of $4,999 for the Max and $3,999 for the Pro.
Those prices buy some serious home-theater hardware. Both models use RGB triple-laser projection and support 4K playback at 120Hz,. The Max reaches 5,700 ISO lumens and an 8,000:1 native contrast ratio, while the Pro steps down to 4,100 ISO lumens and a 7,000:1 contrast ratio. For gamers, XGIMI also supports VRR, ALLM, FreeSync Premium, and low-latency gaming, although 4K/120Hz requires a compatible HDMI 2.1 source.
You also get Google TV with apps including Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video, plus an 80W Harman Kardon audio system. The ultra-short-throw design can produce a 120-inch image from roughly eight inches away, which is considerably friendlier to normal living rooms than mounting a projector on the ceiling.
XGIMI says shipping is expected to begin in December, following Kickstarter orders, though the timeline remains an estimate.
