A newer feature within Wear OS is called Tiles, which allows you to easily swipe through various tools and information on your smartwatch. Although not every Wear OS watch has Tiles, those that do can control them a bit easier now with a new update to the smartphone version of the app.

The update is a server-side change, so you might not see it yet. To check, simply open the Wear OS app on your Android smartphone. Towards the bottom of the screen, you should see a notification informing you on how to choose your Tiles. If you see that, you have the update. If you don’t, you’ll need to wait a bit.

Once you get the update, you can tap on a new setting labeled Tiles. Doing so brings up the active Tiles on your watch so you can move them around, remove them, or add new ones.

You could manipulate Tiles in this fashion before this update, but you had to do it on your smartwatch. Doing so on my Fossil Sport is easy enough, but not nearly as easy as it is on my OnePlus 7 Pro. Performing any task on a smartwatch is cumbersome, in my opinion, and I’d love it if I could control more of my watch functions using just my phone.

Do you have this update? If so, do you plan to use it to work with your Tiles? Or do you not use Tiles at all? Let us know in the comments!
