We take our smartphones everywhere with us, whether we’re going to the store, getting into bed, or going out for a night on the town. Plenty of people even take their phones to the toilet.

But do you go so far as to use your smartphone while you’re in the bath or shower? That’s the topic of our poll today. So go ahead and vote below and leave a comment if you’d like to expand on your choice.

We can see why you’d avoid using a phone in the bath or shower. Some phones might not be water-resistant, meaning it’s a big risk to use them in the bathroom. Some people might also simply value the quiet time away from their handset.

Then again, we can understand if you use your phone in the bathroom, especially if you’re relaxing in the bath. Me? Well, colleague Ryan McNeal pitched this poll idea in our work Slack channel earlier this month, and I read it while I was in the bath. I swear I don’t usually check work messages while in the bathroom, but I definitely use my phone in there now and again for podcasts and YouTube videos.
