TL;DR
  • TECNO has revealed what we should expect from the brand at Mobile World Congress next month.
  • The company will unveil the CAMON 50 series of camera-focused phones, although an official listing has already revealed many details.
  • It will also showcase the POVA 8 series of phones, various ecosystem products, and some concept devices.

TECNO is one of the more notable smartphone brands globally, and that’s largely due to its strong market share in the Middle East and Africa. The company is a fixture at Mobile World Congress (MWC), and it’s just outlined what we should expect at MWC 2026.

For starters, TECNO said it would show off the CAMON 50 series of camera-focused phones in Barcelona. The firm says these phones will use AI to offer smarter scene recognition, “enhanced processing intelligence,” and improved creative flexibility. The company also hinted at AI features for content creation and task management.

Oddly enough, TECNO has already published some CAMON 50 series details online. An official TECNO Uganda product page lists a 50MP LYTIA-700C camera sensor (ostensibly for the main camera), a 32MP selfie camera, and an IP69K rating. The page also lists camera-related software features like 20x AI zoom, AI flare/shadow/reflection removal, “AI auto zoom” tech, and a Best Moment 2.0 feature. Other general software features include image-to-video generation and an upgraded Ella assistant. However, the page also reveals that TECNO has a MindHub feature akin to Nothing’s Essential Space for capturing on-screen content.

This isn’t the only smartphone range on offer, as the TECNO POVA 8 series will also be shown off at MWC. The company hints at a “distinctive” design and long battery life. We got hands-on time with the POVA 7 Ultra last year and came away tentatively impressed. So our fingers are crossed that the POVA 8 series continues in this vein.

TECNO has confirmed that it will show off other products at MWC 2026. The manufacturer said it will show off ecosystem products like computers, smartwatches, and “smart accessories.” It will also showcase concepts and prototypes featuring “novel form factors and interaction paradigms.”
