TECNO MegaBook S1 2023 announced with horsepower upgrade
- TECNO has launched the Megabook S1 2023 at MWC.
- The laptop is mostly identical to its predecessor save for an upgraded Intel chip.
TECNO is a recent entrant into the laptop space, with its Megabook T1 and S1 launching in the second half of 2022. Now, the company has refreshed the latter model at MWC 2023.
The TECNO MegaBook S1 2023 differs from the original model thanks to the use of the 13th generation Intel Core series processors. More specifically, you can expect a Core i5 1340p or Core i7 1360p chip.
Otherwise, the laptop is identical to the previous MegaBook S1. So that means 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, a 15.6-inch “3.2K” 120Hz IPS panel.
Other notable features include a 2MP webcam with privacy shutter, a six-speaker setup, a 70Wh battery, 65W charging, and integration with TECNO phones. I/O options include an HDMI 2.0 port, two USB 3.1 ports, two USB-C ports (including a USB 4.0 port), a card slot, and a 3.5mm port.
There’s no official word on pricing just yet, but the TECNO MegaBook S1 2023 is reportedly set to launch at ~$1,500.
