T-Mobile has a new $25 unlimited plan hiding in plain sight

T-Mobile appears to be quietly offering a super-cheap postpaid unlimited plan that significantly undercuts its standard pricing, but you won’t find it listed on the carrier’s storefronts. Dubbed “Super Essentials Saver,” the new plan costs just $25 per month with AutoPay (or $30 without it) for unlimited talk, text, and 5G data. That comes at a steep discount compared to the carrier’s Essentials Saver and Experience plans, which start at $50 per month for a single line.

As initially spotted by users on Reddit (via PhoneArena), the Super Essentials Saver plan is an in-store exclusive available only through physical Walmart locations. It is not advertised on T-Mobile’s website or online channels. Crucially, the offer is restricted to new T-Mobile accounts, meaning existing subscribers looking to lower their monthly bill won’t be able to switch over directly. The promotional price is also limited to up to two lines.

Despite the budget pricing, the plan features a standard set of entry-level perks:

• Unlimited talk, text, and 5G/4G data on T-Mobile’s nationwide network
• 50GB of “premium” data before throttling kicks in during congestion
• Unlimited mobile hotspot throttled to 3G speeds (~600kbps, according to Reddit comments)
• Coverage in Canada and Mexico, plus unlimited texting to over 215 countries
• T-Mobile Tuesdays rewards access

The move comes amid broader shifts across T-Mobile’s ecosystem, where price increases and app consolidations have led many customers to seek cheaper alternatives or consider leaving T-Mobile altogether. While MVNOs like Mint Mobile or Visible frequently hover around the $25 mark, finding a first-party postpaid plan from a major carrier at this price is rare.

There is no word on how long the Super Essentials Saver promotion will remain active at Walmart, so if you are planning to set up a new line, you will need to check out your local Walmart. Do it sooner rather than later, since the image suggests this promotional plan has been around since August 6 and may not stick around for long.
